"Battlefields of the
World" is a professional Battlefield Tour Operator
recognised globally and now operating under Allworld
International Pty Ltd, formed originally by its Managing
Director Dennis Weatherall during his tenure as Owner/Managing
Director of Allways Travel Pty Ltd. With the sale of "Allways" as at
the 1st September 2006, Dennis and his fellow Director (wife,
Dianne) maintained ownership of the following divisional companies -
Battlefields of the World and Gallipoli
Tours.
Dennis started life as a naval cadet and
reached the rank of Seaman Warrant Officer specialist in Radar and
Gunnery. With such a background he developed a love of military
history - especially from the Australian perspective, which led to
Dennis beginning his "battlefield guiding/touring career". He is a
member of the recently established Guild Of Battlefield Guides
(UK).
Since the division was established some
ten years ago Battlefields of the World has
operated yearly tours to the Anzac Dawn Service at Gallipoli, has
been contracted to plan and operate battlefield Study Tours for ADFA
(Australian Defence Force Academy) to such varied destinations at
the Western Front, Gallipoli and Vietnam. In recent years in
association with many ex-service organisations (RSL Sub-Branches) we
have organised and operated tours for veteran groups on both a
historical and cultural basis throughout Asian, Middle Eastern,
African and European areas. Recently in conjunction with the
Singapore Tourism Board we have developed the "Heritage Trail
of WWII Singapore". In the past Battlefields of the World operated
the return to Singapore for the veterans and families for the "60th
Anniversary Of The Fall of Singapore - 15th February 1942", and the
"60th Anniversary Of The Liberation Of Singapore" and with the
Government of Sabah (North Borneo) - Malaysia for the "60th
Anniversary Memorial Service Sandakan to Ranau Death Marches" of
WWII during 1945. There is even a return to "Kuching" where HMAS
KUPUNDA and Australian built and manned Bathurst Class Corvette -
workhorse of the RAN in WWII took the surrender of the Japanese
forces in Sarawak River back then in 1945
Currently with Dennis' expertise, and
that of his staff both in Australia and overseas, Battlefields of
the World can now prepare and handle battlefield tours to South
Africa, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Ukraine,
Russia, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia,
Morocco, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia (both the Peninsula and in
Borneo), Singapore, Papua New Guinea, Korea, Vietnam and the United
States of America.
